Questions

How much does Ask Steves cost?

£100 for one hour. The first 10 April bookings are free in exchange for a one-line testimonial.

What do I actually get?

A finished deliverable by the end of the session, delivered by email with a short walkthrough video. This could be a landing page, a rebuilt CV, a pitch deck, a working automation, or more. Steve confirms what will be delivered before the session starts, based on your intake brief.

What happens if I don't like it?

If you don't love what Steve delivers, you don't pay. Say so at the end of the session, and the Stripe payment reverses. No argument, no explanation required.

How do I book?

Type what you need into the search bar on the Ask Steves homepage. A chatbot asks a couple of clarifying questions and scopes the session. Pay via Stripe using card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Then pick a time slot from Steve's calendar.

Is this in person or remote?

Remote only. Steve is based in Swindon, UK, but all sessions are delivered over video call. Clients anywhere in the UK or Europe are welcome.

What if my project is too big for one hour?

The chatbot works this out before you book. If your project is too big for one hour, Steve will tell you honestly and suggest breaking it into parts. You won't pay for something that can't be delivered in the time.

Does Steve use AI to do the work?

Yes, where it makes things faster or better. Steve combines modern AI tools with twenty years of build experience and his own judgement. You're hiring both.

What if I need changes after delivery?

Every session includes one round of minor tweaks within 48 hours of delivery. Beyond that, book another session. Ask Steves doesn't offer ongoing maintenance or retainers.

What won't Steve do?

No enterprise work with procurement or NDAs. No ongoing maintenance or retainers. No native mobile apps or complex SaaS platforms. No video editing or motion graphics. Nothing illegal, deceptive, or harmful. No medical, legal, or financial advice dressed up as content.

Who owns the work Steve makes?

You do. Full ownership of all files, code, and deliverables transfers on delivery. Steve retains the right to use the work as a case study on the Ask Steves site, unless you ask him not to.

How quickly can I book a session?

Usually within the same week. Sometimes the same day. The calendar on the booking page shows real availability. Minimum lead time is 48 hours so Steve can review your brief before the session.

Is Ask Steves for businesses or individuals?

Both. Most clients are solo consultants, coaches, founders, small business owners, and creatives. Individuals book Sprints for CV rebuilds, portfolio sites, and job application packs.

Where is Steve based?

Swindon, Wiltshire, in the south west of England. All sessions are delivered remotely, so location of the client doesn't matter.

Why should I trust Steve?

Steve has been building digital products for over two decades, first running his own web studio, then inside a global product team leading experimentation and CMS work across 50+ markets, now independently as an AI consultant. If that's not enough, the money-back guarantee means you take zero risk trying a Sprint.
